The effect of insecticides: Karate Zeon 5CS (a. i. lambda cyhalothrin 50 g l-1), Eforia 065ZC (a.i. lambda cyhalothrin + tiametoxam 15 + 50 g l-1), Actara 25WG (a.i. tiametoxam 250 g kg-1) and Proteus OD (a. i. tiachloprid + deltamethrin 100 + 10 g l-1) on the abundance of the most harmful Lepidopteran pests was observed on white cabbage ‘Krautman’ in 2011–2012. The most efficient were insecticides Eforia 0.5 l ha-1 and Proteus 0.75 l ha-1 against both pests – diamondback moth (Plutella xylostella) and small cabbage white (Pieris rapae). All tested insecticides had higher efficiency and long lasting effect against P. xylostella and P. rapae in 2011, when the abundance of this pest was lower. The insecticide Actara was not efficient enough against P. rapae.
